Saxon Huxley and Sam Gradwell were next up and they had to deal with a crowd that was more than dissatisfied by the conclusion of the previous match.
Gradwell was the obvious fan favorite of this bout, as 50 of his friends and family were in attendance tonight. Michael Cole went to say that he was “a stones throw away” from where he grew up.
Sam Gradwell attempted to use his power against Huxley early on, but Saxon kept pace with him by reversing several of his holds. Saxon slowed Gradwell down with a couple still looking forearms to the lower back but Gradwell kept up the fight.
Gradwell went to the top rope but Huxley rolled out of the ring. Simon Huxley hit a nice looking butterfly backbreaker on Gradwell and grounded him briefly.
‘Muscle Cat’ Simon Huxley took some offense from Gradwell in the corner. The two transitioned into the middle of the ring where Huxley was eventually downed giving Gradwell the opportunity to go to the high rent district again and he landed a top rope headbut for the win.
The result of this match seemed to turn the crowd around as their hometown hero came away with a victory.
