PWInsider reports that Darren Young returned to action and he competed in a battle royal to determine the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship. Young managed to eliminate Titus O’Neil before he was later eliminated by Apollo Crews. Jason Jordan won the battle royal and he went on to face The Miz later in the night.
Darren Young has been out of action since he injured his elbow during a match with Epico which took place during a WWE Main Event taping in January.
Before Young made his return to the ring, he posted the following inspirational message on Instagram:
“People will stare, people will hate, people will gossip, and people will pass judgement. It’s just an unfortunate fact of life. It’s on us to pay absolutely ZERO attention to them. Let’s be the best version of ourselves both mind and body. Smile hard, smile often and keep crushing life. ✌🏽️❤️️ #WWEWitchita #BLOCKTHEHATE #LUCHASTRONG #BACKATIT #UKNOWWHATTIMEITIS”
