Tuesday night Titus O’Neil was sent home from the WWE SmackDown tapings and told he was being suspended for unprofessional conduct. It was originally reported that Titus has been suspended for 90 days but F4WOnline.com is now reporting that his suspension has been reduced to 60 days.

A 60 day suspension is certainly better than a 90 day suspension. However a 60 day suspension still means he will be unable to perform at WrestleMania 32.

WWE is also catching some heat on social media from people who feel that the suspension was racially motivated. The New York Post recently published an article highlighting all the fans that are calling WWE racist for suspending Titus O’Neil and WWE responded to the article with the following statement.

“The suspension of Titus O’Neil had nothing to do with race and everything to do with unprofessional conduct,”

WWE even claimed that Titus acknowledged his mistake and sent them a text message saying.

“I feel like sh** now so if you have to let me go, I understand. Stupid mistake,”

Titus was suspended after he playfully grabbed Vince McMahon during Daniel Bryan’s retirement celebration after Raw on Monday. Vince McMahon didn’t seem angry as he pushed him back. But apparently WWE is looking to send a message to their talents that they want them to act more professional and they’re making an example out of Titus O’Neil.

For anyone that hasn’t seen it yet, you can watch the “playful exchange” seen around the world below.
