Earlier this week Corey Graves got the wrestling world talking when he took to social media to openly express frustration over WWE moving him to the NXT announce team.
There was a lot of discussion regarding whether or not the situation was a work or shoot, but it’s been reported by multiple outlets that Graves was legitimately frustrated after being moved to NXT.
Ahead of NXT this week Graves posted a tweet teasing that he would have a lot to say on the show. However, he didn’t end up appearing on this week’s episode. Corey Graves recently deleted the tweets and so far WWE has not acknowledged the outburst in any way whatsoever.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter one WWE higher up commented on the situation and said, “He may be telling everyone it’s a work. And it may turn into one. But it was a total shoot when it was happening.”
The expectation is that Corey Graves likely won’t talk about the situation publicly for a long time, unless WWE turns it into an angle, or if his relationship with the company comes to an end.
It’s being said that whatever it was WWE was not happy with how it turned out, how it was covered, or the reaction to it, so the company wanted it done away with.
