Earlier today WWE announced that Seth Rollins suffered an injury during his brawl with Samoa Joe on Monday night. At the time that the announcement was made it wasn’t clear as to whether or not the injury was legitimate, but it appears that it is.
PWInsider is reporting that Seth Rollins is currently being examined down in Birmingham, Alabama. However, the severity of the injury is unknown at this time.
In November of 2015 Seth Rollins injured his right ACL/MCL/medial meniscus and he was forced to vacate the WWE Championship. Rollins was out of action for several months and he was unable to compete at WrestleMania 32.
Seth Rollins has been feuding with his former mentor Triple H since August of 2016, and the feud picked up big time over Royal Rumble weekend. Seth Rollins invaded NXT Takeover: San Antonio and he hijacked the show while he called out Triple H. Rollins was later removed from the Freeman Coliseum by security, and he was banned from attending the Royal Rumble the next day.
Seth Rollins vs. Triple H was said to be one of the matches that’s currently locked in for WrestleMania 33, but obviously plans are going to change if Rollins is unable to compete in Orlando.
