Extreme Rules has come and gone, and the pay-per-view was headlined by a 30 minute Iron Man match which featured Dolph Ziggler defending the Intercontinental Championship against Seth Rollins.

Rollins and Ziggler tried their best to put on a great match, but they just couldn’t seem to get the fans on their side.

Throughout the match the fans seemed to pay more attention to the clock on the big screen rather than the action in the ring as they opted to countdown with the clock whenever the timer approached a new minute.

Due to the crowd chanting “10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1″ with every minute, the decision was made to remove the clock from the big screen, but that decision only intensified the crowd’s reaction.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that it was Kevin Dunn who made the decision to remove the clock from the big screen.

As noted, after the clock was removed Ziggler said to Rollins, “it’s worse than when the clock was up.”

Rollins then responded by saying, “that’s why they should have left it up.”
