Randy Orton has been one of the top stars in WWE for decades now, but it’s been a while since fans have seen him. The Viper last appeared on WWE programming back in April when he challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a match that ultimately saw The American Nightmare retain the title.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that they’ve heard from sources in WWE that indicate Randy Orton is still expected to be in New York for Fanatics Fest despite being pulled from autograph signings and photo ops.
It’s also being reported that people at Fanatics are expected Randy Orton to be in attendance. Even though his appearances have been removed the expectation from both sides is The Viper will be at the event.
Following WrestleMania 42 it was reported that Randy Orton was originally planned to win the Undisputed WWE Championship in the night 1 main event. It was also reported that Orton was dealing with a back injury following the Show of Shows.
However, Orton responded to the reports and claimed that he’s simply been milking his time off and has his sights set on winning his 15th world championship when he returns.
