universal title

Roman Reigns challenged Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship Sunday night at Roadblock: End of the Line, but unfortunately for Reigns, Chris Jericho interfered and cost him the title.

Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho kicked off Raw this week, and they bragged about their big victory at Roadblock, but they were interrupted by Raw General Manager Mick Foley. Mick announced that Roman Reigns will get another title shot at the Royal Rumble, and he also announced that Chris Jericho will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage so he can’t interfere.

Jericho objected to the stipulation, but Mick Foley threatened to fire him if he didn’t agree. Mick Foley called for the cage to be lowered down to the ring, and Chris Jericho tested out the cage to see if he could fit. Foley then locked him inside, and Foley thought he had the key in his fanny pack but he couldn’t find it.

Mick Foley signaled for the cage to be lifted, and Chris Jericho got stuck in the cage above the ring. When the show returned from the commercial break Chris Jericho was backstage hyperventilating and Kevin Owens was calling for someone to bring Jericho some oxygen.
