Jacob Fatu has been one of the stars to watch ever since he made his WWE debut last year, and he took his career to the next level at WrestleMania 41 back in April when he defeated LA Knight to win the United States Championship.

Over the last few months there’s been a lot of tension between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa, and that tension boiled over at Money in the Bank when Jacob finally turned on Solo during the Money in the Bank ladder match.

On Saturday, Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa clashed at Night of Champions with Jacob’s United States Championship on the line. Solo Sikoa made his way out to the ring alone as JC Mateo didn’t accompany him. Sikoa attacked Jacob before the bell could ring, but Jacob quickly took control of the match.

After a few minutes of Jacob dominating, Solo hit Jacob Fatu with a Uranage on the apron followed by a Uranage on the floor to get the momentum back. Solo tossed Jacob over his head with a German suplex, but Jacob no sold it then hit a German suplex of his own followed by an Impaler DDT. He connected with a Swanton Bomb on Solo for a two count.

JC Mateo ran down to the ring and distracted the referee as Jacob went to the top rope. A man in a hoodie ran out of the crowd and attacked Jacob. It turned out to be Tonga Loa. Solo Sikoa pinned Jacob and looked shocked as Jacob kicked out at two.

Solo picked Jacob up and went for the Samoan Spike, but Jacob countered with a superkick then jumped over the top rope to take out JC Mateo and Tonga Loa. Back in the ring Jacob hit Solo with a Samoan Drop. He followed up with a moonsault and pinned Jacob.

Hikuleo debuted when he appeared out of nowhere and pulled Jacob out of the ring. He chokeslammed Jacob Fatu onto the announce table then threw him back into the ring. Solo Sikoa then connected with the Samoan Spike to pin Jacob and win the United States Championship. After the match Solo Sikoa celebrated on the ramp with Hikuleo, Tonga Loa and JC Mateo.
