It’s been a big week for the world of professional wrestling as multiple names have returned to WWE. Randy Orton returned on Saturday, Kevin Owens returned on Sunday, and on Monday Night Raw this week Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer both returned to television.
Stephanie Vaquer last stepped into the ring back in April when she dropped the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan, and she made it clear when she returned that she has her sights set on the title.
PWInsider is reporting that WWE sources indicated Stephanie Vaquer had been cleared and ready to return for some time, but the company held off on bringing her back until the moment was right for her storyline as the company didn’t want to waste the return. It’s being said that the decision to bring her back was made over the weekend.
False Finish is also reporting that Vaquer was originally supposed to continue her feud with Liv Morgan for a few months following WrestleMania 42. However, she ended up taking time off due to nagging injuries. After she was pulled from in-ring competition the expectation was always that Vaquer would return to WWE storylines after SummerSlam to continue the story.
