Now that the Royal Rumble has come and gone all eyes are looking ahead to the Elimination Chamber premium live event. Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair both picked up major Royal Rumble victories over the weekend, so now the stars of WWE will be looking to use the Elimination Chamber as an opportunity to main event WrestleMania.
This week the Elimination Chamber qualifying matches kicked off on Raw, and Liv Morgan qualified for the women’s match when she picked up a win over Iyo Sky after the match ended in a disqualification due to interference from Rhea Ripley.
Sami Zayn then went on to face off against CM Punk in the main event, and Seth Rollins tried to fire Sami up ahead of the match as he encouraged Sami to put Punk’s WrestleMania dreams in the ground. Seth was making his exit as CM Punk was making his entrance, and they had to be separated by security as Punk walked to the ring.
CM Punk and Sami Zayn pulled out all the stops during the main event as they pushed each other to the limit. At one point CM Punk had Sami in the corner and he told Sami to look at the WrestleMania sign then said, “It’s all for me! You’re not on my level.”
Near the end of the match Sami got Punk in the corner and he went for his finisher, but Punk picked Sami up and hit him with the GTS to earn the victory and qualify for the Elimination Chamber match.
After the match CM Punk offered handshake to Sami Zayn and Sami accepted. Kevin Owens then appeared out of nowhere and attacked Sami from behind, knocking Punk out of the ring in the process. Kevin Owens then hit Sami with the package piledriver as Raw went off the air.
