Over the last few months a number of new WWE contracts have been signed as names like Penta and Jordynne Grace have debuted with the company. Some surprising names have also parted ways with the company and now it seems that another wrestler was quietly released last month.
Fightful Select is reporting that Duke Hudson is no longer with WWE as he was released from his contract in January. Hudson last competed in the ring during a NXT live event in November, and it’s being reported that he was removed from the WWE internal roster in mid-January. As of right now the reason for the release is unknown.
Duke Hudson, real name Brendan Vink, first signed with WWE back in 2019. He went on to join the NXT brand that same year then started making appearances on Raw in 2020.
Brendan Vink returned to NXT and the Duke Hudson ring name was introduced in 2021. Hudson eventually joined Chase University and he managed to win the NXT Tag Team Championship alongside Andre Chase in 2023. Chase University was prominently featured on NXT throughout the group’s run before the stable disbanded back in November.
Stay tuned for updates.
