According to PWInsider, Batista’s WWE status has been a hot topic as of late backstage. A few months ago WWE officials were under the impression that Batista would be returning after all of the media appearances for “Guardians of the Galaxy” slowed down but that seems to be in question now. Some people within WWE reportedly believe that as the film sees more success it becomes less likely that Batista will return as a full time performer.
There’s also speculation that Batista may be offered several big movie roles now that his stock has risen in Hollywood. Getting injured is always possible when wrestling in the WWE and studios could be hesitant to cast him in roles if he’s still wrestling.
