This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw is airing live from Dallas, Texas and the next challenger for Penta’s Intercontinental Championship will be decided. Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, Chad Gable, Dominik Mysterio, Rusev, Ethan Page and Joe Hendry are set to face off in a gauntlet match and the winner will go on to challenge for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam.
Ahead of the gauntlet match Fightful Select is reporting that Chad Gable is set to pick up the win and earn the right to challenge Penta for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE’s biggest party of the summer.
This result lines up with reports that started circulating a few weeks ago claiming that several people within WWE were pushing for Chad Gable to have a prominent presence at the SummerSlam premium live event in his hometown of Minneapolis. Gable has been chasing singles gold on the main roster for some time now, so it will be interesting to see if his big moment finally happens at SummerSlam.
WWE SummerSlam is set to air live from US Bank Stadium on Saturday, August 1st and Sunday, August 2nd. The current card can be seen below.
