This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw aired live from Birmingham, Alabama and the show featured several big matches. Bron Breakker and Sol Ruca both qualified for their respective Money in the Bank ladder matches, and later in the night Liv Morgan defended the WWE Women’s World Championship against Stephanie Vaquer.
Ahead of the match Becky Lynch approached Stephanie Vaquer in the locker room and offered to watch her back to even the odds against The Judgment Day, but Stephanie declined the offer. Liv later confronted Becky and told her that nobody likes her, or her husband. Lynch looked frustrated as Liv held up the title in her face then walked away.
At one point they battled to the outside and Stephanie Vaquer cleared off the announce table. Liv slammed Vaquer into the table then climbed up onto it. She attempted to pick Vaquer up, but the challenger fought back and hit Liv with Devil’s Kiss on top of the announce table.
Vaquer connected with a crossbody off the top for a two count. Liv managed to follow up with a powerbomb off the top rope and Vaquer kicked out. Morgan went to the top rope and Vaquer knocked her down then delivered a superplex and rolled through for a SVB. Liv kicked out once again.
Stephanie hit Liv with a running knee then went to the top and Raquel Rodriguez knocked her down. The referee got distracted and threw Raquel out. Becky Lynch showed up and threw Raquel into the steel ring steps as Roxanne handed the belt to Liv. Becky chased Roxanne through the crowd. Liv hit Stephanie with the belt while the ref was distracted then pinned her to retain the title.
