This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw aired live from Birmingham, Alabama and the show featured a big return. During a triple threat Money in the Bank qualifying match, Bayley returned and pulled the referee out of the ring as Lyra Valkyria was attempting to pin Maxxine Dupri. Sol Ruca then picked up the win when she hit Maxxine with the Sol Snatcher. After the match Bayley got into the ring and attacked Lyra Valkyria.
Prior to her return on Monday Night Raw, Bayley last appeared on WWE programming when she was defeated by Lyra on the July 18th episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event. Following her return it was reported that the former WWE Women’s Champion signed a new deal with the company, but that may not be the case.
PWInsider is now reporting that Bayley has not renewed her contract with WWE despite the fact that she returned on Monday Night Raw this week. Multiple sources within the company reportedly confirmed that there have been no discussions regarding a new deal and Bayley still has plenty of time on her current deal. It was also noted that anyone claiming Bayley signed a new deal as a condition for her to return is 100% wrong.
Bayley’s contract status has been a hot topic in recent months as it’s been reported that he deal with WWE is set to expire this year. One way or another Bayley is back on TV, so it will be interesting to see how things play out for her over the next few months.
