2016 wasn’t a very good year for Paige. She spent most of her year on the sidelines dealing with an injury, and she was also suspended twice from WWE. Paige underwent neck surgery back in October and she’s currently recovering, but it doesn’t sound like we’ll be seeing her back in the ring anytime soon.

When Paige first announced her surgery she noted that the expected recovery time was 6 to 9 months. With a best case scenario 6 month recovery time, Paige might have had a chance at a WrestleMania return, but PWInsider is reporting that Paige is not expected to return to the ring for WrestleMania 33. It was noted that Paige may not end up returning to the ring until the summer of 2017.

Paige was backstage at WWE Raw in Tampa, FL, last week as she underwent a medical evaluation, but WWE officials are reportedly treating her injury as a “touch and go” situation because they don’t want the former Divas Champion taking any bumps until she is fully healed.

It was recently reported that Ring of Honor star Kyle O’Reilly turned down a new contract with the company just a few days before Wrestle Kingdom 11, and O’Reilly went on to drop the ROH World Title to Adam Cole at the event.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, ROH officials expect Kyle O’Reilly and Ray Rowe to join WWE.

The belief is that Adam Cole is WWE bound even though he’s not able to negotiate with WWE until May 1 due to contract obligations with ROH.
