Sometimes it can be hard for a couple to stay together no matter how much people are rooting for them. Fans of John Cena and Nikki Bella loved watching the two together as they had some great chemistry. Cena was one of the best reasons to watch Total Bellas as well and nobody seemed to understand him like Nikki Bella.
But it looks like all good things must come to an end and although John Cena proposed to Nikki Bella in the middle of the ring inside Camping World Stadium at WrestleMania 33, we won’t get to witness a grand wedding between Super Cena and the oldest Bella Twin.
The WWE power couple spoke to Us Weekly writer Emily Longeretta where they gave a statement regarding their split. It sounds like it was a mutual decision, it just might be hard to take for their fans.
“While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.”
While John Cena travels around to promote his new movie Blockers, Nikki Bella is plenty busy as well. It might be interesting to see if any reasons come out during the next season of Total Bellas.
But at this point, the only thing we know for sure is that Cena and Bella have entered a time in their life where they are no longer a couple and the Walt Whitman quote posted by Cena to his Instagram might give us a pretty good clue about what else could be going on right now too.
