The WWE Universe has been praying for the former 16-time World Champion Ric Flair over the past few weeks after it was revealed that The Nature Boy had been hospitalized following a number of different health problems.
It seems that the issues stemmed from a problem with blockage Flair’s bowels and many other complications were brought to light following his surgery.
Ric’s close friend Jerry Lawler who returned to WWE TV when he took Booker T’s place on commentary this week on Raw, stated on his podcast “Dining With The King” that he was told that Flair had just a 20% chance of survival.
He said: “Apparently it was really a touch and go situation, they explained to him [Ricky Steamboat], and when the Nature Boy had that first surgery, the doctors said that Ric had a 20% chance of survival of making it through that surgery. But we all know that he did pull through. And I heard yesterday, he’s already cutting promos on nurses.”
The recent updates regarding Flair’s health have been positive ones, so it seems that once again Flair has managed to defy the odds and come out fighting. It will be a long road to recovery, but there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Flair will be back on WWE TV elbow dropping jackets in no time.
