When WWE announced that Kurt Angle would be headlining the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame class, fans all around the world wondered if we would be seeing Angle wrestle inside a WWE ring once again. Kurt Angle has made it clear that he definitely wants to wrestle again, but he’s also said in interviews several times that WWE officials have not informed him of any plans for him to return to the ring.

Angle has been a very hot topic over the past few months thanks to his big storyline involving the mysterious text messages that were presented to the Olympic Hero by Corey Graves. It was rumored that the angle would eventually lead to Kurt Angle’s in ring return, but it doesn’t seem like that’s how the storyline will play out at this point in time.
Monday night on Raw, Kurt Angle revealed his big secret and he told the world that Jason Jordan is his illegitimate son. It seems that the purpose of the reveal was to put the focus on Jordan, rather than give Kurt a reason to return to the ring.
It’s being reported by Sportskeeda that WWE officials currently have no plans for Kurt to return to the ring. According to the report, 2K pitched an idea for Kurt Angle to face Seth Rollins at Survivor Series in a situation that would have been similar to Goldberg vs. Lesnar last year, where the cover star of the annual WWE 2K game, and the featured downloadable character would do battle.
WWE reportedly nixed the idea, and it doesn’t look like he’ll be stepping back inside the ring anytime soon. It’s also being reported that WWE higher ups consider Kurt Angle to be fully retired.
