no mercy

Now that SummerSlam has come and gone, all eyes are looking ahead to the WWE No Mercy pay-per-view which is set to take place from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on September 24. It’s already been confirmed that Brock Lesnar will be defending his WWE Universal Championship against Braun Strowman at the event, and now another huge match has just been added to the pay-per-view.

John Cena returned to WWE programming on the Fourth of July, and he returned to SmackDown Live as a free agent. After John Cena wrapped up his SmackDown Live run when he defeated Baron Corbin at SummerSlam, he made his return to Monday Night Raw the next night.

Cena said he was on Raw to confront one specific Superstar, and then Roman Reigns made his way to the ring. The 16 time WWE World Champion told Reigns that he’s the man he was looking for, and it’s been rumored that they could be facing off at No Mercy.

Well, you can put the rumors to rest, because Mike Rome confirmed earlier today that John Cena and Roman Reigns will indeed face off in a one on one match at No Mercy in a few weeks, and he noted that the match will be made official on Raw tonight.
