Nikki Bella returned to the ring on Sunday night at SummerSlam when she teamed up with Natalya and Alexa Bliss to take on the team of Becky Lynch, Naomi and Carmella.
Nikki got the win for her team and she later announced that she’s officially joined the SmackDown brand. She noted on Instagram that she waited on a bus in order to surprise everyone including her partners and opponents.
“This is me while I waited on a bus to surprise everyone, even my partners & opponents last night at SummerSlam. 7 months ago when I had surgery I hoped for that day to come but was told it wouldn’t. I prayed and trained so hard that it would. I just knew that I couldn’t have already had my ending in the ring. I just wouldn’t accept it. The @wwe universe keeps me alive. You give me energy that no one else can give me. You challenge me. You make me want to be better. It’s crazy what you do to me. And the welcome Brooklyn gave me made me hold in tears. Monday night after Raw went off the air WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose teamed up with John Cena to take on Seth Rollins and AJ Styles. The finish came when Dean Ambrose hit AJ Styles with Dirty Deeds.
