There’s been a lot of talk about arrests in the professional wrestling world recently as Ludwig Kaiser was arrested for battery last week. Now it seems that a former WWE star is dealing with legal issues.
The Watch MN is reporting that Curtis Axel (real name Joseph Curtis Hennig) is facing multiple charges after driving intoxicated through a McDonald’s drive-thru, backing his car into another vehicle, and getting physical with police officers.
On May 17th at 8:47 PM, police officers from the St. Francis Police Department were dispatched to the McDonald’s on Saint Francis Boulevard Northwest. The criminal complaint notes that the officers found a truck driving slowly through the parking lot with Joseph Hennig behind the wheel. When the police stopped the vehicle Hennig was allegedly seen with bloodshot eyes, and was slurring his speech. Police also noted that the car smelled like alcohol.
Hennig reportedly refused to exit the vehicle when the officers instructed him to do so. The officers then opened the door, turned off the engine and placed the keys on the passenger seat. Hennig was said to have been defiant which led to the officers physically removing him from the truck, placing him on the ground, and handcuffing him.
An officer read Hennig the Minnesota Breath Test Advisory, but he refused any chemical testing and allegedly responded with profanities which included “I don’t give a s***,” and “f*** you, you f*****.”
An employee at the McDonald’s noted that Hennig was mumbling at the drive-thru, swearing at the staff, and backed into another vehicle. Hennig then allegedly opened his door and yelled at the female driver while calling her a “b****” and a “p****.” His vehicle was searched and inside a 750 mL open bottle of Phillips vodka was found on the floor by the passenger seat.
According to the report Hennig is facing the following charges:
Traffic – DWI – Refuse to submit to chemical test; Breath or test refusal or failure (Gross Misdemeanor) – Statute: 169A.20.2(1)
Traffic – DWI – Operate Motor Vehicle Under Influence of Alcohol (Misdemeanor) – Statute: 169A.20.1(1)

The case was filed in court on May 18th, and Judge Karen B. Schommer set bail at $0. Hennig had the option of posting $12,000.00 bail or bond with no conditions, or $0.00 release with conditions.
