Kevin Owens made his big return to WWE at SummerSlam a few weeks ago and he won a fatal four way to become the new number one contender for the WWE Championship. Since then he’s been feuding with Punk and the two met in the ring for a promo segment last week on SmackDown. During the segment Punk and KO traded verbal jabs and Punk focused on talking trash about Kevin’s physique.
While talking about the segment on Busted Open Radio, former WWE Champion Raj Dhesi (Jinder Mahal) stated that he thinks CM Punk “took an L” in the segment due to Punk making comments about KO’s physique.
“That to me, Punk took a bit of an L even going that direction. Yes I understand, he’s trying to take a personal jab at him. Give me something better Punk, give me something better.
Dude, come on. The lines are so blurred between who’s a babyface and who’s a heel across the entire landscape in WWE, but Punk has to be a bit careful in this situation.”
One way or another the time for talking will be over soon as CM Punk is currently scheduled to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens on SmackDown this week.
