Last month WWE released a number of Superstars including some surprising names such as Dolph Ziggler, Shelton Benjamin, Elias, Mustafa Ali and Matt Riddle. Dolph Ziggler had been with WWE for almost two decades, and now that his run with the company has finally come to an end everyone has been wondering what’s next for the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Following his release Dolph Ziggler has been quiet, but he recently talked a little bit about where he intends to go from here while speaking with CHUM 1050 Canada.

“For the first time in my wrestling career, I will finally be able to be my true authentic self and that’s wild man, that drives me harder than I ever could have imagined. Everyone will finally see me, the real me real soon, and I’m going to show the world.”

There’s currently no word on where Dolph Ziggler could end up once he officially becomes a free agent. Mark Henry recently made it clear that he hopes to see Ziggler in AEW as he said that Ziggler is at the top of his list for potential signings while speaking on Busted Open Radio.

“Dolph Ziggler, top of the list. One of the best wrestlers in this modern era, in the last 10 years for sure. His first 15 years, he was kind of cutting his teeth, getting acclimated, and then the next four [years], he started to get in the main event picture, kind of being the foil for other people. But the last 10 years, Dolph Ziggler’s been one of the elite of the elite guys.”

Stay tuned for more updates on Dolph Ziggler’s future as they become available.
