Mandy Rose had been one of the top stars in NXT ever since she returned to the brand last year, but her 413 day NXT Women’s Championship reign came to an end last week when she dropped the title to Roxanne Perez.
Roxanne Perez recently spoke to BT Sport about the major title change, and Perez noted that Mandy Rose has always been sweet to her and Rose was happy she was able to pass the title on to Perez.
“Mandy is so amazing. She honestly is one of the best and sweetest humans I’ve ever met. Since the moment I stepped into NXT, it’s nerve-wracking to be surrounded by people that you’ve been inspired by and one of my first few matches was against her for the NXT Women’s Championship. She’s always been so sweet to me, she’s always given me the best advice.
“Before and after the match, she gave me a big hug and we were both crying together. It was cool because she was really happy that she was able to pass it down to me. I’ve gotten so close to her within the last few months. No matter what, she’s going to be amazing, she’s going to do amazing things.”
The day after Mandy Rose dropped the title it was reported that WWE released her due to some explicit content that was posted on her FanTime page. Her agent recently told TMZ that Mandy Rose has made $500,000 since her release and she’s expected to become a millionaire by Christmas. Stay tuned for updates.
