In 2015 Cody Rhodes kicked off a feud with “Arrow” star Stephen Amell and the feud culminated in a tag team match at SummerSlam. Stephen Amell got the best of Cody Rhodes when he and Neville defeated Stardust and King Barrett, but they later faced off again on Stephen’s turf.
Cody Rhodes made his debut on “Arrow” during the first half of season 5 when he played Derek Sampson in “A Matter of Trust.” Derek Sampson was a drug dealer who popped up on the Green Arrow’s radar because he was distributing a drug called Stardust throughout Star City.
In the episode Sampson was transformed into a super-villain who couldn’t feel pain and he became a thorn in the Green Arrow’s side.
Before it was all said and done though the Green Arrow got the best of Derek Sampson as he did some serious damage to his limbs, and left him in a factory as the factory started to explode.
Derek Sampson’s fate was left open to interpretation, but now we have confirmation that the Stardust dealer survived.
IGN reports that Cody Rhodes is set to reprise his role in the 21st episode of season 5 which will likely air in late April or early May depending on how many more breaks the show takes.
