During this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Trick Williams made it clear that he wants another shot at the WWE United States Championship when he called out Baron Corbin.
Corbin then proposed a match between himself and Lil Yachty at Sunday Night’s Main Event with the stipulation being that Trick will get a title shot if Yachty survives five minutes in the ring, but if Corbin beats Yachty, Trick won’t be able to challenge Corbin for the belt again. Celebrity matches have become more and more common on WWE programming in recent years, and it sounds like Lil Yachty is going all in.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Lil Yachty has been training with Ivy Nile and her husband Ari Levy ahead of his debut match. Alvarez wrote, “Lil’ Yachty has been training for months with Ivy Nile and her husband.”
It was recently reported by False Finish that Lil Yachty will be working with WWE for the foreseeable future. It was also noted that Yachty has earned the respect of many within the company due to his dedication to the business, and Yachty taking it as serious as possible.
WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event will air live from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA on September 6 and the current card can be seen below.
