Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to air live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and the show will feature a huge title match as CM Punk is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens.
As of this writing Kevin Owens is the favorite to win the Undisputed WWE Championship match on Friday Night SmackDown tonight. Betting odds on BetUS show that Owens currently sits at -165 odds with CM Punk at +120. It’s important to note that the bettings simply show who is favored to win the match, not necessarily walk out with the championship. So, even if Kevin Owens does win tonight it’s possible that he could somehow win the match by disqualification and not win the title.
There seems to be a lot of anticipation heading into tonight’s episode of SmackDown as WrestleTix is reporting that 15,146 tickets have been distributed for the event at the Scotiabank Arena
Earlier this week Owens confirmed that his family will be in Toronto for the big match when he said, “Also, my parents will get to be there, my family will get to be there and that wouldn’t have been the case if the match happened somewhere else, because my mom, through her health issues over the last several years, her ability to fly and go to shows that are far away, it’s just not the case anymore. But Toronto, it’s a manageable drive from Montreal. So, my parents will be able to be there, and there was awhile where I didn’t know if my parents would ever get to see me in the ring again. And now, they’re going to get to see it, and it’s a big match, and it’s potentially a match where I could win the Undisputed World Title in front of them, which, when I won the Universal Title, my wife, my kids, my parents, they were all watching on TV, but they weren’t there live.“
