Bayley’s status with WWE has been a hot topic over the last few months as it’s been reported that her contract with the company is set to expire later this year. The former WWE Women’s Champion was seemingly written off TV after she was defeated by Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and everyone has been wondering what the future holds for Bayley.
The expectation is that Bayley will receive a significant offer from AEW if she doesn’t re-sign with WWE, and a move to AEW would open the door for her to work with Mercedes Mone.
During a recent interview with The Daily Star, Mercedes Mone was asked if the fans will ever see her lock up with Bayley again at some point, and Mercedes left the door open.
“You never know in wrestling. That’s always a dream match for me, too, to have another match with her. She is one of my greatest opponents of all time. Of course, everybody knows one of our greatest matches together, Brooklyn. That’s really changed the way people viewed women’s wrestling. But yeah, it’s always a dream match for me. It’s always a dream match for me. So you never know.”
