SmackDown is set to air live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto tonight and there’s a lot of anticipation heading into the show as CM Punk is scheduled to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens on this week’s episode.
TRNBCKL is reporting that Sami Zayn is set to open SmackDown tonight, while the Undisputed WWE Championship match is scheduled to close the show. According to the report the early rundown for SmackDown this week is as follows:
– Sami Zayn segment
– WWE Tag Team Championships Match: MFTs (c) vs. R Truth & Damian Priest
– Giulia vs. Blake Monroe
– Trick Williams segment
– Undisputed WWE Championship Match: CM Punk (c) vs. Kevin Owens (main event)
It’s also being reported that a Cody Rhodes/Randy Orton segment is supposed to take place on the show, but it’s not clear why the segment isn’t featured on the rundown. Anything set to be announced during the show is also not on the rundown.
