SmackDown made the move to Friday nights on FOX last month, but last week’s episode aired on FS1 due to the MLB World Series coverage airing on FOX.
The show didn’t do all that hot in the ratings department, as it only drew 888,000 viewers.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Vince McMahon wasn’t reacting to the ratings at all, and with a show to put together no one brought them up, except quietly away from the action.
It’s being said that that the number doesn’t matter unless it ties into a shockingly bad number for this week’s show, then it’s a major story.
If the numbers are normal then the lesson is that people don’t listen to the commentary or commercials closely enough to tune into SmackDown when it’s on another channel.
