Ever since Asuka jumped to the main roster it seems like she was destined to tangle at the top and now it looks like she is positioned in a very good position headed into the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match.

When Asuka walked into the ring last week to stare Little Miss Bliss down there wasn’t much of a chance to talk because The Empress Of Tomorrow just kicked Alexa Bliss’ head off. This sent a very powerful message home to Bliss that Asuka meant business and didn’t hold back her kicks in the process.

In a very interesting decision, it seems that Asuka’s undefeated streak is going to be put to the test in a big way because she’s booked to square off against Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss on the New Year’s Day episode of Raw.

But there’s a catch because there’s always a catch it seems. Because this match will be a non-title match. Therefore, WWE is likely looking to spread the message that nobody’s ready for Asuka while keeping the title on Bliss.

You might be asking, “But Varble, if Asuka wins the Women’s Royal Rumble and faces Bliss later, wouldn’t that mean we’re getting the WrestleMania match tonight?”

Of course that could always be the case, but when these kinds of matches pop up there is seldom an absolute finish… then again the end of this match could always feature plenty of Absolution.

After all, Paige, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville have made no strangers of getting in the middle of Asuka’s business lately as they seem to have a target set on the former NXT Women’s Champion’s back.

Only time will tell how it all pans out but it’s certainly an interesting way to go. We will just have to tune in and see how they’re able to write their way out of this interesting situation.
