This week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown aired live from Lafayette, LA and the show featured a big title match. Originally Tatum Paxley & Charlotte Flair were supposed to challenge Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, but Charlotte was written out of the match when she was attacked by Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab backstage.

Nick Aldis later announced that Jade, Michin and B-Fab were removed from the building, and that Charlotte was not medically cleared to compete. Charlotte then insisted that Alexa take her spot in the title match.

Near the end of the match Fallon Henley rolled up Tatum Paxley and Lainey Reid grabbed Fallon’s arm on the outside to try and provide extra leverage. However, the referee saw what was happening.

Shortly after Tatum Paxley hit Cemetery Drive on Fallon Henley and pinned her to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship for her team. After the match Tatum Paxley and Alexa Bliss celebrated with the belts as pyro went off in the background.
