Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler recently got the opportunity to main event the WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view with a 30 minute Iron Man match, but the fans in attendance ended up hijacking the show.

During the match there was a giant clock on the screen counting down the 30 minutes, and as the clock approached a new minute the crowd counted down the last 10 seconds.

Seth Rollins recently spoke to Lilian Garcia about the match on her Chasing Glory podcast, and he said that he simply doesn’t understand the concept of buying a ticket to a show and doing anything other than watching the show.

At one point the clock was removed from the screen due to the countdowns, but Rollins instantly realized that wasn’t the right move.

“They know it’s a thirty minute match; they’re just going to get it out of their system,” Rollins told Garcia via Pro Wrestling Sheet. “And then, somebody actually took the clock off the tron. And that was bad. It was like you were taking a toy away from a petulant child, and they’re just going to be a jerk to you about it.”

Seth went on to say that the countdowns didn’t have an impact on his performance, but they did seem to distract Dolph Ziggler.

“I know it really messed with Dolph [Ziggler]. Like, he was super out of sync from how he normally is,” Rollins said. “I just let them do their thing. I knew we had thirty minutes,  and by the end of it they’d be invested in what we were doing — and I think they were.”
