It’s only October which means that WrestleMania season is still several months away, but it’s never too early to start talking about plans for the big show. It’s been rumored for some time that Roman Reigns will be facing off against Oba Femi on the Grandest Stage of Them All, and CM Punk is also rumored for a match with Cody Rhodes.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi is slated for WrestleMania 43, but CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes is not the current plan for the show.
CM Punk and Cody Rhodes previously clashed in a match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam back in August, and they have mostly been kept apart since then. It was noted that plans could change multiple times between now and WrestleMania due to injuries or other circumstances. However, Punk and Rhodes facing off in a rematch is not the plan for WrestleMania as of this writing.
WrestleMania is set to emanate from Saudi Arabia for the first time ever next year. WWE is also currently set to travel to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel next month, and you can get more details on what Ari Emanuel had to say about the plans for the show here.
