We’re only a few weeks away from the Crown Jewel premium live event and recently there’s been a lot of discussion about the show being held in Saudi Arabia due to the recent attacks at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
Earlier this week the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh issued a security alert and U.S Embassy staff and families were ordered to leave Saudi Arabia. With tensions escalating in the area fans have wondered if WWE could move Crown Jewel to a different location, but that doesn’t seem to be the plan as of this writing.
During a recent interview with FOX News, TKO CEO Ari Emanuel confirmed that the current plan is for Crown Jewel to be held in Saudi Arabia next month.
“Right now, everything is still set. This weekend coming up in Abu Dhabi, we have a UFC fight. We have in the middle of November a Frieze art show. So far so good. Nothing’s been cancelled. We have a whole team kind of working on this, and if that doesn’t happen, where we can move it. It’s a daily monitoring.”
Crown Jewel will air live from Saudi Arabia on November 7th and the current card can be seen below.
