Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is one of the most anticipated shows in months as CM Punk is scheduled to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens live in Toronto.
Owens returned to the ring at SummerSlam and earned the title match when he won a fatal four way match. Since then Kevin Owens and CM Punk have been feuding on SmackDown, but it sounds like an extended Punk vs. Owens feud is unlikely at this point.
Ahead of SmackDown tonight the Wrestling Observer is reporting that as of a few days ago the plan was for the CM Punk and Kevin Owens match to be a one and done.
Currently betting odds show Kevin Owens as the favorite to win the match tonight, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he will be winning the title, as he could always win the match via count out or disqualification. One way or another it seems that Punk’s feud with KO could be wrapping up tonight.
