Three years ago today Adam Copeland wrestled his last match as Edge in WWE when he defeated Sheamus on Friday Night SmackDown. A few months later he made the jump to All Elite Wrestling, and he’s been with the company ever since.

Even though Copeland is currently with AEW, many fans have wondered if he could potentially return to WWE for an official retirement match. Recently Copeland discussed the subject on the Ariel Helwani Show, and he confirmed that he’s planning to retire in AEW.

“Yes. That’s where I want to retire. And I know that may disappoint a lot of people, but I love it there. I love the company. I love the attitude. I love the exuberance. I love the drive. I love the excitement that I see from the locker room.

I don’t want to go anywhere else. I’m good. I did everything I could do there [WWE] and then some. And I think they got everything out of me and then some that they could have.”

Currently Adam Copeland is one half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions alongside Christian Cage. They are scheduled to defend the belts against The Young Bucks at the AEW All In pay-per-view later this month.

Stay tuned for updates.
