Throughout the year a number of wrestlers have parted ways with WWE, and now another name is officially done with the company. PWInsider is reporting that Ilja Dragunov is parting ways with WWE, and that his contract with the company has expired. WWE has already moved Ilja Dragunov’s profile to the alumni section of their official website.
Ilja Dragunov first signed with WWE in 2019 and went on to join the NXT UK roster before joining NXT in 2022. During his run with the brand he managed to win the NXT UK Championship as well as the NXT Championship.
In 2024, Ilja Dragunov was officially drafted to Monday Night Raw. Unfortunately he suffered an ACL tear shortly after and was sidelined until October of 2025 when he returned and beat Sami Zayn to win the United States Championship in his first match back with the company. Dragunov went on to drop the belt to Carmelo Hayes in December of that same year.
Ilja Dragunov has not stepped into the ring since the SmackDown before WrestleMania back in April when he competed in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Stay tuned for updates.
