It’s been a big week for WWE as the company held WrestleMania 40 at Lincoln Financial Field and several new champions were crowned. The excitement continues tonight with Friday Night SmackDown and an interesting name has been spotted ahead of the show.
PWInsider is reporting that Tama Tonga has been spotted in Detroit ahead of SmackDown. It was reported back in February that Tama Tonga was WWE bound after finishing up with NJPW, but so far he has yet to debut on television. There’s currently no word on if WWE has plans for Tama Tonga to appear on SmackDown tonight.
It’s also being reported that Johnny Gargano, Piper Niven and Chelsea Green have been spotted in Detroit as well. WWE is currently focusing on the following points for SmackDown:
– Cody Rhodes returns to SmackDown for the first time as WWE Champion
– Bayley makes her first appearance since winning the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania XL
– LA Knight, Bobby Lashley, and Santos Escobar to battle in high-stakes Triple Threat Match
– Kevin Owens, Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles battle in crucial Triple Threat Match
