You never know what’s going to happen when you watch AEW Dynamite, and last week former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Jay White helped Juice Robinson beat down Ricky Starks. After the segment it was confirmed on social media that White is officially All Elite.
Jay White’s status has been a hot topic over the last few months as it was reported that both AEW and WWE were interested in him. Chris Jericho recently spoke to Tim and Eli on Battleground, and he said that White’s signing is an example of AEW having momentum.
“Jay White, what a great example of us still having momentum. Hottest free agent in the world. Silver platter for WWE. The guy is 6’4”, he’s international, he has the accent, which chicks love. He’s a great worker, great heel, great babyface. He chose AEW. If that doesn’t tell you that something is going on with us, I don’t know what will. Just to continue to build that momentum is a very exciting prospect.”
