We’re still months away from WrestleMania season and the Show of Shows is set to emanate from Saudi Arabia for the first time ever in 2027. Nashville, TN has been heavily rumored for WrestleMania 44 in 2028, and it looks like WWE may have a potential frontrunner regarding the location for WrestleMania 45 in 2029.
Fightful Select is reporting that those familiar with the situation in New Orleans noted there is a hold on the New Orleans Superdome from March 12, 2029, through April 21, 2029. One source that has worked with WWE events in the city said that the hold was put on the venue in conjunction with WWE.
Regarding the hold, it’s expected that there would be a two week load in that would require the hold, but it’s being said that the extended window is set up so WWE can narrow down a date.
WWE currently has a six week hold on the venue. However, at this point in time nothing is official. A spokesperson for WWE noted that there is nothing final to announce at this time.
The Superdome was previously announced for WrestleMania 42, but WWE changed plans and moved the event to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas instead. WWE also owes the city of Indianapolis a future WrestleMania in an official capacity. WrestleMania last emanated from the Superdome in 2014 when WWE brought WrestleMania 30 to New Orleans.
Stay tuned for updates.
