Roman Reigns has been pushed as the top star in WWE for almost a decade, but he’s really been coming into his own over the last few years. Reigns has received a lot of praise for his Tribal Chief character and The Bloodline storyline has become one of the most talked about storylines in all of wrestling.
John Cena knows what’s it like to be the face of the WWE, but in recent years he’s been focused on his acting career. Cena has clearly been watching Roman’s progress as he told the Associated Press that he feels Roman has helped to make other people better.
“Roman, you see very selectively. Yet he’s been able to rise up six to seven people to be in another bracket of relevance. And that for me has never been done. Just being in Roman’s orbit puts you in another bracket. He makes so many more people better, creating a better program and more people watching and talking. It’s not just a one-man show.”
John Cena and Roman Reigns last collided at SummerSlam in 2021 when Cena challenged The Tribal Chief for the Universal Championship but failed to win the belt. Cena will have his chance to win championship gold at WrestleMania this weekend as he’s set to challenge Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Stay tuned for updates.
