There are a number of WWE stars that the company has been trying to build up for years, one of which happens to be Lacey Evans. WWE has been tweaking her gimmick for some time and she competed in a squash match on the most recent episode of SmackDown when she defeated Carmen Harress in just two minutes.
Recently there have been rumors circulating on social media claiming that WWE is unhappy with Lacey Evans, but Fightful Select is reporting that there’s nothing to the rumors.
“There is nothing to odd online speculation from non-credible Twitter accounts saying WWE isn’t happy with Lacey Evans’ performance.”
Prior to her match on the most recent episode of SmackDown, Lacey Evans last singles match took place on the January 27 episode which saw Evans defeat her opponent with the Cobra Clutch in short time. It seems that WWE is trying to build Lacey Evans up by having her compete in squash matches, but only time will tell if this approach ends up working. Stay tuned for updates.
