Stephanie McMahon is on a leave of absence from WWE, and a recent report from Business Insider suggested that Vince McMahon had pushed Stephanie out of the company, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Fightful Select is now reporting that people who have worked in WWE since before the Nick Khan regime were shooting down that claim before the news was released.

It’s also being reported that some people who were hired as part of the new regime did note that there were some performance issues, but they weren’t on the level of something that would have led to Stephanie being pushed out. Sources from both regimes are claiming that Stephanie’s decision to take a leave of absence was hers.

The report also notes that WWE Head of Global Sales & Partnerships Claudine Lilien was indeed let go. Lillien wasn’t looked at as a great hire for McMahon, and there were areas that needed to be improved in that department such as selling sponsorships on a long-term basis rather than a single show basis.

Stephanie McMahon was being included in production emails up until last week, but her being taken off was chalked up to “housekeeping.”
