NXT has been going through major changes, and a number of people associated with the brand were released from WWE this week. The company continues to push the brand in a new direction, and now key figures such as William Regal, Road Dogg, Samoa Joe and more are no longer part of it.
Following his release William Regal took to Twitter to thank WWE for a 21 year rung with the company, and he showed nothing but gratitude when he posted the following:
“Thank you to @WWE for a wonderful 21 year run. You gave a lad who was happy and in wonderland wrestling on a carnival have a charmed life for 21 years. No complaints and please no one waste time replying as I won’t have a bad work said against the company.x”
“I will add that @WWE saved my life in 1999 when they didn’t need to, kept my family fed and took me all around the world. You have my gratitude forever. You allowed me to live a charmed life.”

Throughout William Regal’s run with the company he managed to capture the WWE Intercontinental Championship, European Championship, Hardcore Championship, Tag Team Championship, and he is also a former King of the Ring winner. Stay tuned for more updates on William Regal as they become available.
