Fans have seen several waves of releases throughout 2021, and over 80 Superstars have parted ways with WWE. Former NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm was recently added to the list as it’s been reported that Storm was released.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is now reporting that it’s believed Toni Storm asked to be released. It was also noted that the memo WWE sent out regarding Storm’s release did not list budget cuts as the reason.
Those that I spoke to within WWE believe Toni Storm asked for her release from the company, though I'm also making an effort to reach out to those close to her. The memo that went out did not list budget cuts as the reason, as has been tradition of late.
