WWE has released over 80 Superstars this year, and a few weeks ago the company released Nia Jax among other names. The former Raw Women’s Champion recently got the wrestling world talking when she changed her name to Lina Fanene on Twitter, and she also retweeted a post from the LinaFanene.com fansite.
There was some speculation that Jax could be using the name Lina Fanene, a shortened version of her real name Savelina Fanene, for an in-ring return, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Recently the former Nia Jax took to Twitter to explain that she doesn’t intend on using Lina for a ring name because it’s highly unlikely she will wrestle again.
“Lol! Face with tears of joy Newflash..Lina is my real name. It’s not another “ring” name. It’s just MY NAME, the name given to me at birth. Calm TF down trolls. In all fairness, “Opponent Crippler” would be a SOLID front runner if I ever decide to wrestle again. Rolling on the floor laughingRaising hands but it’s highly unlikely”
