Our next match featured Trent Seven vs. Wolfgang. Fit Finlay was shown in the crowd before this one started. It’s always nice to see Swoggle’s daddy. Seven and Wolfie both received nice ovations from the crowd as they made it to the ring. People making “w’s” with their fingers for Wolfgang was a neat gimmick.
This match featured two bigger man really letting each other have it. They backed each other against the ropes in the beginning and ended up pressing their heads together as a test of strength. Wolfgang executed the first maneuver with a side suplex which sent his adversary rolling outside the ring. Seven was taken down by an elbow from Wolfie and Wolfgang climbed onto the barricade and executed a flip onto his opponent which sent them both rolling in pain.
Seven made it back into the ring before Wolfie, and executed a successful suicide dive. These two large men were really moving their bodies around that ring. They ended up climbing to the top turnbuckle and teased a superplex which was blocked but eventually Wolfgang took advantage and executed the maneuver on Seven.
Seven went for his lariat maneuver, but Wolfie threw up a big boot and hit him with the wasteland, he then attempted the moonsault but Trent Seven threw his knees up to block it. Wolfgang attempted another wasteland maneuver however Trent Seven was able to turn it around and perform his finishing maneuver “the seven stars” but Wolfie kicked out at the two count.
The two men minute back up on the top turnbuckle and Seven was knocked down giving Wolfgang the chance to perform a swanton bomb onto the back of Trent Seven while he was on all fours. That was indeed a tough way to take that maneuver.
Wolfgang wins and advances to the semi finals of the tournament.
